The area of origin of the milk, the area of transformation and production of “Ricotta di Bufala Campana” PDO is perfectly coincident with the area of origin of the “Mozzarella di Bufala Campana”, which includes the following territory: the entire provinces of Caserta and Salerno and some municipalities in the provinces of Naples and Benevento, in Campania Region; some municipalities in the province of Frosinone, Latina and Rome, in Lazio region, as well as part of the territory of Foggia province, in Puglia region; the sole municipality of Venafro in Isernia province, in Molise region.
